Welcome to the website of IRMED e.V.,
the promotor of regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy

The registered association is now known under the name “Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Therapy e. V” and has been founded in February 2003. It is located in the Biomedical Research Center Rostock (BMFZ).

The objective of IRMED e. V. is to support research and technology transfer in the field of regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy. IRMED e. V. keeps office space and laboratories within the Biomedical Research Center Rostock. These can be made available to cooperating research groups. Furthermore, IRMED e. V. is intensively involved in promoting young researchers. Regularly, pupils are offered insight into the world of science in the scholar stem cell lab. Also, students are offered the possibility to gain practical training experience in our labs.
